We are pleased to announce that Melissa Brophy, business developer with The Greenery, has been awarded Ambassador of the Year by the Pooler Chamber of Commerce. She was recognized during the Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet hosted by the Pooler Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, December 13, 2018.
Her role as Ambassador began in April and requires Melissa to reach out to various members of the Chamber. “I tell our members how thankful the Chamber is for their investment, as well as mention what the Chamber does for them and how we can help them grow their business,” she said. She attends all Chamber of Pooler events, ribbon cuttings and ground-breaking ceremonies. Melissa is proud to serve as an Ambassador because she gets to “help spread the Chamber’s mission,” she said.
Her role as a Chamber Ambassador is a direct reflection of The Greenery’s corporate philosophy to serve the community. “The Greenery is a huge supporter of its employees being involved in the community and building their leadership skills,” she said. “Being a Business Developer for The Greenery is about building relationships. The Ambassador program has helped me grow professionally and personally. My role as an Ambassador has helped me become more active in the business community and has allowed me to give back through service.”
In addition to her work with the Chamber, Melissa also serves as the President of the Kiwanis Club of Pooler, Membership Committee for the BNI Fortune Builders in Pooler and the Coastal Georgia Apartment Association, plus she is currently enrolled in the Leadership Savannah Class of 2019.
