Last month, The Greenery launched a large landscape makeover as a gift to the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head valued at over $50,000. On Feb. 25, over 90 Greenery employees (a.k.a. “an army of Greenery”) from all departments descended on the Arts Center working together to landscape, mulch, irrigate and lay sod in this “fast track landscaping event.”
Each year, The Greenery seeks a project to “Give Back” to the communities we serve. It’s part of our commitment as an employee owned company and to our community. The Greenery has previously completed projects in Bluffton and Beaufort.
The Arts Center was chosen this year for our community project because it is such an iconic organization in the Lowcountry. The Arts Center’s landscape was a little tired and needed some updating. The Greenery felt it was something we could make a high impact on and make a big difference. And the end result is definitely a huge improvement.
Kathleen Bateson, President/CEO of the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina shared her appreciation saying that the employees of the Arts Center were “overwhelmed with joy” at the generosity of The Greenery.
Other products and services were donated by our business partners including: tree services by Tree Wiseman and All Care Tree, sod from Green Acres Turf Farm, palm trees from Green Goods, mulch from National Wood Sourcing and dumpsters from Republic Waste.
