The Greenery donates labor and plants to Wharf Street Redevelopment Project

BLUFFTON, S.C. – On Friday, Dec. 16, about 100 employees of The Greenery donated their time and expertise installing landscaping and hardscaping at the Wharf Street Redevelopment Project in Old Town Bluffton. Members of the Town staff, who have been involved with the project, were invited to participate as well.

Instead of writing a check to a charitable organization, as The Greenery typically does this time of year, President and CEO Lee Edwards decided to donate labor to the project. The Greenery staff installed plants, shrubs, trees and sod; created pathways and laid down concrete pavers. The donation of labor was valued at close to $20,000.
